Yesterday was the photo shoot for the chocolate business. It was scheduled for 2 pm, and we were supposed to spend 6 hours, up until 8 or 9. By 2:15, Boris, my designer/photographer, hadn’t arrived and I was starting to wonder. So I messaged him, which is usually the best way to find or get a hold of someone here, as everyone has a cell phone, even the guy selling watch parts on the corner or the shoeshine man.

He called me back immediately and told me a relative had passed away the night before, he had been at the funeral, and would be arriving in another 40 minutes. He arrived about an hour later and we got to work; at the same time, he announced he would have to be leaving at 5 to go to the Mass. He apologized profusely but what could I say. He would come back at 6 and we agreed to shoot the rest of the night until we were done.

At 6:15 he returned and we got back to work. We took over 80 photos, about 40 of which we will probably end up using, shooting until almost 1:30 in the morning. I was very satisfied with the work and the extra effort he put in to get all the good shots. Hope to have a few in the next few days and then look for the website in a month or so.
